Real Madrid sign ‘Japanese Messi’ Kubo for Castilla as 6th summer move

Real Madrid have confirmed the signing of FC Tokyo forward Takefusa Kubo on a six-year deal.

The Japan Under-20 international is said to have caught the attention of sporting directors of ‘Europe’s biggest clubs’, while the Catalan giants dropped out of the running – Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City were also linked.
He had previously spent four years in Barcelona’s academy and was dubbed the “Japanese Messi”.

When he was 13 years old, Takefusa Kubo signed for the Spanish giants in 2011, moving to Catalunya, but Fifa ruled that he was one of the underage players illegally brought to the club and he was banned from playing.
The attack-minded player spent four years in the Blaugrana’s La Masia youth academy but had to leave the club in 2015 when Barcelona were sanctioned for signing underage players illegally.

Seems like Real is not only planning for the present but also for the future. What a summer for their fans.
